<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The latest version of the <strong>LG Tritan AX840</strong> <strong>firmware</strong> is V05. Go into phone settings/phone info/version, sw version should end with 05, if it ends with 03 or 04 you need the update. You have to check your local cellphone provider&#8217;s store and I guess they will have your phone upgraded and it only takes 20-30 min. <a href="http://www.lg-phones.org/category/lg-tritan-info">LG-Tritan info</a></p>
<p>After updating my <strong>LG Tritan,</strong> I feel it was way better than before, more faster!! and better response!! and fixed almost every complaint i had about the phone. </p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I found the <strong>LG Tritan QuickLink Mobile and Phonebook Manager software</strong> on Alltel website. Click <a href="http://software.alltel.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here</a> to download the latest software for your <strong>Tritan</strong> and select your operating system, product, and then your device to get started. If you have 7, just use Vista. I was able to run the software and get online using my <strong>LG Tritan</strong> without a problem. <a href="http://www.lg-phones.org/category/lg-cell-phone-software">LG Cell Phone Software</a></p>
<p>Description: This download includes the entire contents of the QuickLink Mobile installation CD. <description><![CDATA[Create A Iphone Looking Homepage For Your LG Tritan Browser]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Create A Iphone Looking Homepage For Your LG Tritan Browser (<a href="http://www.lg-tritan.com/index.php?topic=204.0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Source</a>)</strong></p>
<p>This one was taken from a tutorial on how to make an Iphone homepage for the <strong>LG</strong> Dare&#8230; Unlike the Dare though the <strong>LG Tritan</strong> supports reading the homepage from a file instead of hosting it somewhere&#8230;. <a href="http://www.lg-phones.org/category/lg-tritan-info">LG-Tritan info</a></p>
<p>Start off Here <br /><a href="http://dare.jrsmith.net/generator/">http://dare.jrsmith.net/generator/</a> <br />To design your homepage&#8230;.</p>
<p>Next after downloading the homepage you designed unzip it and open the index.html file in your favorite text editor. Double check all your urls for the links&#8230;.</p>
<p>(I used the default image link for craigslist and it defaulted to mobile.craigslist.org <br />which is not my city of choice so I had to edit it ex. yourcity.craigslist.org)</p>
<p>Now save your modified index.html and change the name to homepage.html&#8230;</p>
<p>Next using bitpim or LG EFS Tool you need to browse the filesystem of your <strong>LG Tritan</strong></p>
<p>Navigate to <br />/brew/mod/obigo/external</p>
<p>Copy all images and homepage.html from your <strong>LG Tritan </strong>to a backup folder on your pc</p>
<p>Now save your downloaded custom homepage keeping all folders to your <strong>LG Tritan </strong></p>
<p>You should now have the following items in your /brew/mod/obigo/external dir on your <strong>LG Tritan</strong></p>
<p>css (folder) <br />images (folder) <br />js (folder) <br />homepage.html (file)</p>
<p>After successfully writing to your <strong>LG Tritan </strong>close bitpim or LG EFS Tool <br />and reboot your <strong>LG Tritan </strong>open web and have fun&#8230;. <a href="http://www.lg-phones.org/category/lg-phone-problem-and-solution">LG Phone Problem and Solution</a></p>

<description><![CDATA[adding custom ringtones to your Alltel LG Tritan AX840.]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Adding custom ringtones to your Alltel LG Tritan AX840 Step by Step:</strong></p>
<p>So you went out and bought what you thought was an awesome phone, only to discover that you can’t seem to find a way to personalize your ringtones without buying them from Alltel. Sound familiar? Are you annoyed yet? I was FOR SURE! BUT where there is a will there is a way. After scouring the internet for hours and hours I could not for the life of me find one good “how to” on this subject. Bits and pieced and many many sites later (not to mention a lot of trial and error) I came to a final solution that worked. I know many ppl out there are just as frustrated as I was so I decided to make a detailed step by step guide to help the rest of you along. Please understand that modding your phone can be a bit tricky and I take no responsibility if you decide to follow my instructions..do so at your own risk. Also &#8211; Thanks to the many other people that had already figured some of this info out (I don’t take credit for it, I&#8217;m merely organizing it and updating it for what worked for me)</p>
<p>First the bad news (more you say?) you WILL need a micro sd card! My pc did not even show anything was plugged in until I installed mine. After calling LG I was told there can be no transfer of info without it. Good news is they start at under 10 bucks for a 2gig chip at Wal-Mart. You can install up to a 16 gig chip.</p>
<p><strong>Alltel LG Tritan AX840 Phone Photos – </strong><a href="http://www.lg-phones.org/category/lg-cell-phone-pictures"><strong>LG Cell Phone Pictures</strong></a></p>
<p><img style="border-right-width: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px" title="lg-tritan" border="0" alt="lg-tritan" src="http://www.lg-phones.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/lgtritan.jpg" width="514" height="416" /></p>
<p> <span id="more-4301"></span>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>Once this is installed (just insert). You will have to download a few files before you begin. <br />Installing Drivers <br />1)&#160;&#160; Go to <a href="http://www.colordrives.net/LG7000%20Driver.zip">http://www.colordrives.net/LG7000%20Driver.zip</a> and download this driver. It is not necessary to install the whole thing. <br />2)&#160;&#160; Open with winrar or winzip. <br />3)&#160;&#160; Drag the folder that matches your operating system to your desk top. <br />4)&#160;&#160; Plug your data cable into your phone and then into the usb port on your computer. <br />5)&#160;&#160; Choose “USB Mass Storage” <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; This will set up your SD Card for use with your phone. <br />&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; When finished touch exit on your phone. <br />6)&#160;&#160; Disconnect USB cable from PC and then reconnect. <br />7)&#160;&#160; On your phone choose the option “USB Modem” <br />A window should come up asking you for a driver. (I assume here that you know&#160; how to install a driver onto your pc *crosses fingers*) <br />8)&#160;&#160;&#160; Point it to the folder containing the drivers that you placed on your desktop. <br />9)&#160;&#160;&#160; Do this several times until it tells you that your device has been installed and is working properly. Double check that everything is working properly by going into your system properties and making sure that nothing has an ! next to it. <br />Installing Bitpim <br />Next you will need a small program called Bitpim <br />1)&#160;&#160; Go here to download. <a href="http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitpim/files/bitpim-tests/1.0.7.20090805/bitpim-1.0.7.20090805-setup.exe/download">http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitpim/files/bitpim-tests/1.0.7.20090805/bitpim-1.0.7.20090805-setup.exe/download</a> <br />2)&#160;&#160; Install the program. <br />3)&#160;&#160; Start Bitpim <br />A window should come up that says “Found other CDMA phone” Make note of the COM# (depending on your pc set up this can vary) <br />4)&#160;&#160; Click Edit on the top tool bar <br />5)&#160;&#160; Click Settings <br />6)&#160;&#160; Click the Phone Wizard button <br />7)&#160;&#160; Choose Alltel – LG – VX9700 (Dare) then Next <br />8)&#160;&#160; Click the COM# that it told you in step #3 above <br />9)&#160;&#160; Click the Detect Phone button (it will probably fail ..but that is ok) <br />10)&#160;&#160; Click Finish <br />&#160;&#160; This will take you back to the main screen of BitPim <br />11)&#160;&#160; Click View on the top tool bar, then click View File System <br />12)&#160;&#160; You will notice that this puts a File System Icon on the left column at the bottom <br />13)&#160;&#160; Click the File System Icon <br />14)&#160;&#160; In the second column over you will see a file with a + next to it, Click the + (this expands the folder) It SHOULD say retrieving and then a large list of folders will appear. This is the contents of your phone. Tamper with this at your own risk. <br />15)&#160;&#160; Click on the folder named dload <br />16)&#160;&#160; Right click “mysound.dat” <br />17)&#160;&#160; Choose to save this file to your desktop <br />18)&#160;&#160; Then delete the file from the dload folder in Bitpim <br />19)&#160;&#160; Expand Brew <br />20)&#160;&#160; Expand Media <br />21)&#160;&#160; Expand lk <br />22)&#160;&#160; Click on the ms folder <br />23)&#160;&#160; In the right most column you will see all of your ringtones that are on your phone. <br />24)&#160;&#160; Drag any mp3 ringtone that you have to this list and Drop (you should see it appear in the list) *note midis and wavs may work .. Im not sure because I haven’t tested this <br />25)&#160;&#160; Exit Bitpim <br />26)&#160;&#160; Unplug your phone <br />27)&#160;&#160; POWER DOWN your phone and then POWER BACK UP. <br />28)&#160;&#160; Your custom ringtones should now be listed with the rest of the ringtones on your phone.</p>
<p>I know this seems like a lot and it kinda is the first time through (since you have to install the drivers and all). Good thing is BitPim remembers your phone and the next time all you have to do is start it up with your phone attached to your PC and begin at step #13. <br />Also it is very easy to make your own ringtones from any mp3 that you have. I recommend using an audio editor (I like audio edit deluxe). You can cut just the part of the song you want for your ringtone (I prefer to keep mine under 15 seconds but hey that is up to you) Good Luck!!</p>
<p>After completing this process the next time you do it begin at step #13, this is correct HOWEVER you do NOT need to preform steps #15-#18 again (just skip directly to step #19).</p>
