I know that but the method I am showing will stop the alternative to switch between 2D as well as 3D while looking at pictures or else in the middle of games however if you’re similar to me I don’t contain time to play games or else try with 3D pictures, plus yes that makes the LG Thrill 4G no different than some of the others but I now like the phone it’s self. LG Thrill 4G Tips – Remapping 3D Button Steps:

First you have to do is following:

• Get Root Explorer
• Then go to /system/usr/keylayout
• On head of app select mount R/W
• Press long on omap-keypad.kl until menu comes up
• Choose open in text editor
• Scroll to the bottom to key 249
• Alter 3D_HOT_KEY to CAMERA
• Exit of text editor and choose mount R/O in top of app
• Exit of Root Explorer
• Restart

That will at the present map the 3D button to open the camera instead of something you might in no way use. LG Phone Problem and Solution

Now go back to stock.

• Find the way back to /system/usr/keylayout
• Mount R/W
• Just do this if you contain the omap-keypad.kl.bak that would be the backup of the original file
• Remove the altered omap-keypad.kl
• Rename omap-keypad.kl.bak to omap-keypad.kl
• Exit and then restart.

How to Turn off 3G Connection on LG Thrill 4G Android Phone Steps:

1. On the LG Thrill 4G Android phone, press on HOME > MENU button and then tap Settings.  LG Android Phones
2. Tap on Wireless & networks settings
3. Tap on Mobile network settings.
4. Tap on Network Mode.
5. Click only use 2G connection
6. Then, its down. The 3G connection has been turned off.

You also can turn off 3G connection by using this way:

• On you phone home, dial *#*#4636#*#*, go into phone info and select GSM.

This article is for someone who want to update their LG Thrill 4G to the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. I did notice there is a video guide but a text step by step might be useful for some. LG Android Phones

Required:

• AcuraTeam Ginger Rom: http://www.zshare.net/download/9577548007f83482/  http://minus.com/m4jn6TXLR

• LG Drivers: http://www.lg-phones.org/wp-content/uploads/LG_USB_Drivers_All_4.9.7.zip
• dll file:LGP920_110622.zip
• fls file: LGP920AT-00-V18a-AMA-XXX-OCT-28-2011_0_CP.zip  or LGP920AT-00-V18a-AMA-XXX-OCT-28-2011+0_CP.fls

How to install Android 2.3 Gingerbread on LG Thrill 4G Steps:

1. Root your LG Thrill 4G (AT&T LG Thrill 4G Root!), install rom manager from market, start rom manager and press install clockworkmod
2. Download and place AcuraTeam Ginger Rom on internal sdcard
3. Install LG Flash Tool and LG USB Drivers
4. Remove the battery sim and sdcard from your phone
5. Hold volume + button while plugging in phone (keep holding volume + until phone is recognized)
6. When asked for location of drivers choose the correct location (this will ask twice) Should be C:\Program Files\LG Electronics\LG Android Driver
7. Right click on My Computer and select manage
8. Click on device manager
9. Click on ports and then right click on the phone port and select properties
10. Click on tab for ports settings and click on advanced
11. Change port to 41 and click ok
12. Unplug your LG Thrill 4G from computer
13. Run LG Flash tool by selecting the alternate .exe file
14. Select the appropriate .dll file and select the appropriate .fls file for the S/W, select the USB button for connection mode, click ok
15. Select the picture up top that looks like a printer cable and select port 1, click OK
16. Click on the yellow arrow up top and make sure port 1 says ready
17. While holding your volume + button, plug in your usb cable and hold volume + until port 1 shows some activity
18. Process should run until 22% and then say failed. Choose the red circle with a minus sign to exit.
19. Unplug USB from phone and insert battery, sim, and sd card.
20. Boot phone and after booted power down.
21. Boot into CWM recovery and wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, install zip from sdcard, choose zip from internal sdcard, select Acura Rom. Reboot system and enjoy.  LG Phone Problem and Solution
