We were first made aware of the existence of the LG Optimus 2X at the end of last year. But it’s taken from then until today for LG and T-Mobile to officially announce it, renamed as T-Mobile G2X. The first dual-core 2.2 device will become available in the US on April 15. LG Cell Phone News
The company said the T-Mobile G2X would cost $199.99 with a new contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate. LG Android Phones
The T-Mobile G2X is a powerful handset limited slightly by LG’s poor track record with Android, featuring a 4 inch WVGA touchscreen display, 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, Dolby Mobile sound, 8MP autofocus camera, full HD (1024p) video recording, 8GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support.

Available as soon as April 20, T-Mobile subscribers will have access to the “first dual-core Android smartphone” – The T-Mobile G2X, which is T-Mobile’s version of the LG Optimus 2X. The news is quite exciting, right? However, I have to say, this is just a rumor, hasn’t been confirmed yet. LG Android Phones
Aims to the high-end markets, the T-Mobile G2X is eagerly awaited device that rocks NVidia’s Tegra 2 dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera with full HD video (1080p) recording capability. Moreover, it also comes with other “standard for Android” goodies like HSPA and WiFi connectivity, GPS, an array of sensors, Bluetooth and so on. The T-Mobile G2X will be sold with Android 2.2 Froyo, but will be upgradable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. LG-Optimus info

It was just several weeks ago that LG officially presented the LG Optimus 2X and LG Optimus 3D at MWC 2011 in Barcelona, and it looks like the former might be headed to T-Mobile USA as the LG Optimus G2X. LG Android Phones
That’s according to this image handed to the TmoNews. The picture doesn’t give much away, neither the release date nor the price is confirmed. But we believe the sepcs of the LG Optimus G2X is the same as the LG Optimus 2X’s, features include a Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor, Android 2.2 OS (with an upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread expected to follow shortly), a 4 inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, HDMI-out, 8MP autofocus camera, HD (1080p@24fps) video recording, and 8GB of on-board memory. So that’s that. It’s good to see a high-end phone in the U.S. market. LG-Optimus info
