I’ve rooted my LG Revolution with VS910ZV9 firmware by using the following tool and it worked pretty well. SU is installed and is allowing root access to cachemate and RomManager.

How to Root LG Revolution with VS910ZV8 / ZV9 Firmware Steps

1. Extract the tool which is in zip file you have downloaded
2. You have to install LG ADB drivers if you are on Windows
3. Enable USB Debugging Mode on your phone
4. Connect your device to computer via USB cable
5. Execute the “run.bat”  file if you are windows or “run.sh” from a terminal (on Linux/OSX)
6. Wait till this get completed and enjoy.

I wrote this post for LG Revolution owners who are looking for the instructions on how to flash / unbrick their devices back to Stock. The guide is not complicated, but if you have any issue please leave your comments below. I will reply you as soon as I can.

All things you will need:

How to Flash / Unbrick LG Revolution back to Stock Steps:

1. Install the software that pops up when you plug in your phone.
2. Extract LGNPST.zip
3. Install these four files: LGNPSTv1.2_Store_Version.msi, LGNPST_v1.2_Lab_Version.msi, LGNPST_Components_Ver_5_0_12_0.msi, LGNPST_GenericModels_Ver_5_0_10_0.msi
4. Double click Right_Click_Register_DLL.reg
5. Make a new folder called "Models" in the program’s directory. Default: "C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\"
6. Paste the "VS910.dll" file to the new "Models" folder you’ve just made
7. Right Click "VS910.dll" and click on Install/Register.
8. REBOOT!!
9. Run LGNPST_CT.exe
10. Make sure USB Debugging mode is enabled on your LG Revolution, then connect to PC via USB cable
11. Device should be listed
12. Select the phone and click on the Open folder button inside the .BIN query underneath the COM## details.
13. Since it wants a .bin file, you can open the .TOT file by typing "*.*" inside the File Name query and hitting Enter
14. Choose the tot firmware you want to flash and Click OK –> Upgrade and wait for it to complete
15. Enjoy

The LG Revolution has received a VS910ZV9 software update. It’s still a Gingerbread, but contains the a few bug fixes and enhancements.

You can manually check out the OTA update through Menu > Settings > About phone > System updates > Check New.

Also you can manually update your phone by using LGNPST. Following is the official stock VS910ZV9 ROM / Firmware for the LG Revolution. We will post an instruction about how to do, so be patient.
