Manufacturers and carriers often load Android phones with their own apps, which we call BlOATWARE. Commonly, they are not be run constantly. LG system let us Freezable OR uninstalled BLOATWARE! So let’s manually take control of your LG Optimus 4X HD and stop the them from now on.

Caution: The apps were uninstalled or frozen depending of your needs. If you’re thinking about to do the same choose the apps that you don’t need to uninstall and those that you don’t need for now but, maybe later you might need to frost, like SmartShare or Email.

First of all, I’d like to thank Enter_The_Love for making this rooting instructions for LG Optimus 4X HD Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on XDA forum. It has been a pain in the nuts to root this thing but it seems like the member over there were able to crack it. I am not the author of the script, I’m just putting all this together for everyone to enjoy. Also, thanks to the people for their work.

LG Optimus 4X HD Root tool Download:

How to Root LG Optimus 4X HD P880 with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Firmware:

  1. Download and extract the Root.rar file to C:\.
  2. Reboot into recovery by holding VOL Down while turning on the phone.
  3. Select in recovery menu – Apply update from ADB.
  4. Plug the device to PC.
  5. Double click ROOT.bat from archive.
  6. Wait until the phone finish the install and reboot.
  7. Done. Superuser icon will appear on the screen, running "information page, click here to check for updates.
  8. Enjoy.

If you prefer SuperSU instead of Superuser:

  1. Download SuperSU from Google Store, install it.
  2. Open SuperSU and give permission when Superuser ask.
  3. After SuperSU update binary go to settings and choose "Install SuperSU in /system" (I don’t know if you need SuperSU Pro for that).
  4. The phone will reboot and Superuser will be gone, now you’ll have only SuperSU.
  5. If you want BusyBox, Go to the Store, download it from there and install it.

AT&T LG Optimus G E970 owners can easily root their Smartphone that running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware. The rooting method has been determined by renowned XDA developer.

Root tool Download:

USB Driver:

Ahead of rooting, it is expected that users have made slight changes that shown below to support root process.

  • Ensure USB Debugging is enabled
  • Ensure your are in Charge only Mode
  • Properly install LG Optimus G USB Drivers on your PC

Once above mentioned changes have applied then your Galaxy Note N7000 is ready to Root on UBLSF Android 4.1.2 firmware.

How to root AT&T LG Optimus G with Android 4.1.2 JB Steps:

  1. Plug your phone to PC using usb cable
  2. Download and extract the zip file that you just downloaded
  3. Run the CurrentRoot.bat, wait for the prompt.
  4. Change to MTP Mode
  5. Just ignore when your computer asks how to view files on your device.
  6. Press enter in the CMD prompt to continue.
  7. Done.

This has been tested on the latest (Jelly Bean) Telus Firmware, the lates AT&T Firmware and the latest Sprint Firmware, it works on them all.
