Steps to root Sprint LG Marquee:  LG Phone Problem and Solution

1. Enable USB Debugging on your LG Esteem: Go to Settings > Applications > Development > Enable Debugging and check the box
2. Download an install the LG USB drivers:
   • LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN32AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3. 2.1_2.exe
3. After installing the USB drivers connect the phone to the PC.
4. Pull down the notification bar at the top of the phones screen and click on USB Connected.
5. Set the phone to Internet Connection mode (CHARGE ONLY not Mass Storage).
6. Download LG_Esteem_Root.zip
7. Unpack, find the run.bat file and double click on it to run it.

How to Unroot Sprint LG Marquee:

Use root explorer and delete superuser.apk from the /system/app folder. Go to the Android market and download and install super user. Use root explorer again and delete su from /system/bin. Go to the market and uninstall super user. LG Android Phones

Do a factory reset & you will be back to square one.
