THIS IS FOR EVERYONE WHO WANT TO GET VOIP WORKING OVER WiFi ON THE LG INCITE.
This is using Spartans 6.1 rom because it has a lot of free memory, I’ve noticed the more free memory the better voip works with SJPHONE LG-Incite info

YOU ALSO NEED TO USE A BLUETOOTH HEADSET IF YOU WANT TO HAVE GOOD VOICE CALLS OVER VOIP

If anyone has more ideas I’ll be glad to test them out.
First you need to enable Proxy manager in the registry settings at [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ACCESS\NFB35a\BrowserPref]
"UseProxy"=dword:00000001

You Need to Right click on NFB35a and create a new key which you name BrowserPref, then you create a dword for that key by right clicking on the empty page on your right and write the name UseProxy and hex value is 00000001.

Then you need to go to Proxy manager on your LG Incite and disable Proxy.

You also need to enable port 5060 in the registry because it is not enabled at
HKLM\System\VoIP\SIP
EnablePort5060 = 1
Download SJPhone from here http://www.sjphone.org/softphone/SJphone-PPC2003-303c.cab
These are the settings to get SJPHONE working as there is no explanations as to put what where.
The example I’ll be using here is for JUSTVOIP you can use your voip provider,
These settings are NOT using STUN as a SERVER.
After installing SJPHONE (soft rest) and doing your reg tweeks open sjphone, Click on MENU which is at the bottom left hand corner, go to
OPTIONS then click on Profiles which is at the bottom,
In Profiles click New
In Profile Name you may write any name you like in this case it will be JustVoip.
the rest of the details are automatically inserted there is nothing more to do.
Next click on SIP PROXY Tab:
In Proxy Domain you type in { justvoip.com } without Quotes, in the box next to that : {5060}
In USER DOMAIN {sip.justvoip.com}
Register with Proxy is selected
Proxy is Strict Outbound is selected
UNMARK /DO NOT SELECT /unregister contact address only, then
Click OK
In the Please enter this information to initialize the service profile
First Box is your user name {pspmatrix} just as you have entered it on your voip provider, No sip or @ justvoip.com, before or after your user name, it won’t work if you add any of these.
Next box is your password {123456}
click ok and go into the dial Pad
Now the tricky Part
Go to Menu Options
On the bottom scroll over to Audio the Top 2 Boxes need to be selected
Then click on the Codecs tab and move SJLabs GSM 6.10 CODEC to the top,
you may select each of the other two codecs and by clicking on properties you may disable them.
Click ok
Click on Advance settings, Here is where you play around to get the best Sound Quality, My settings may not work as good on your router so you need to play around a bit, I go threw two Access Points before I reach a router and I’ve managed to get it to work most of the time Like talking on a normal Phone.
My settings are
Driver Buffer 100
Driver Input 10
Driver Output 3
Jitter 2.

You May also Select Lost Data recovery in the Codecs Tab but I think this over rides the above settings.

There is also a setting under the codecs properties where I have entered 2 for packets.
To Keep the call alive make sure you adjust your power settings otherwise the Phone goes to standby mode and the Internet connection is cut.

Unfortunately you cannot use SPB as the sound quality over time deteriorates.
There is also AEG Phone which uses less resources but I have only managed once to have a proper two way conversation, This has a whole different setup and more Items are needed which are missing on the LG Incite to get this working, but if managed the sound quality would be excellent.

If I have forgotten something I’ll update this and any thing you find that Helps Let us Know

NOTE: Most Themes work great, but it is always recommended you BACKUP your files.
As Alway’s none of the Themer’s will be held responsible for damage to your phone. DISABLE WINDOWS DEFAULT START/SETTINGS/HOME (Tab items) select anything. LG-Incite info

LG Incite Tutorial – How to install Custom Themes:

1. Install the cab file
2. Some Themes will require a restart, and you will be prompted. (Hit "OK")
3. When your device restarts you may see some changes. Everything still works

Now let install the rest…

If you wasn’t prompted to restart Ignore Steps 2-3
4.Go to your Start/Settings/Home
5. Now Select the New Theme’s name, and press OK

Wait……….. your Done!

1. Go to Start/Settings/System/Remove Programs
2. Select the Theme’s name, and hit Remove
3. Sometimes there is two parts to remove Remove The Theme’s nameQVGA last

Remember when uninstalling some parts of the Theme may remain until all parts are removed.

IMPORTANT: When using custom Themes it is ALWAYS a good idea to uninstall the last Custom Theme before installing a new one…

That’s it!

Sometime the start menu icon will change on reset, or shutdowns. To fix this change to a different Theme Steps 4,5 and change back to Custom Theme.

Sometime a soft reset is necessary, if you get all parts cannot be uninstalled as a last resort navigate to the Themes folder and delete the folder with the name of the theme your having problems uninstalling. LG Phone Problem and Solution

I’ve been using the windows 7 theme on my LG Incite for a couple weeks with no problems. So it just might be the screen capture that I used. But anyway, works great no issues known. LG Cell Phone Software

Alright, did one more before I go to bed. This one works perfect with the exception of when in landscape it has a wierd color line at the bottom. I don’t use my LG Incite in landscape so it works perfect for me. I’m working on a halloween all in one ( 6.5, dialer, keypad, s2u2, bootscreen) and I’ve got it about 75% done. Actually, everything except the keypad…pain in the butt. So that’ll be the next thing I post but for now enjoy this Windows 7 theme. Hope you like this. LG-Incite info

Hello, fellow tech-challenged LG Incite Noobs! LG-Incite info

Here’s the step by step how-to for DL’ing wallpapers from this site. (I’m sure there may be many ways to do this, and this might not be the most efficient, but hey, I figured it out! LOL)

IMPORTANT: If you haven’t done it yet, take out the ‘Getting Started’ CD and put it in your computer’s CD drive. Follow prompts to download the ActiveSync software, so that your comp and Incite can communicate.

1- Find the pic you like for your wallpaper on this site and save it ‘My Pictures’ on your computer.
2- Right click on the image and go to: > Send to > LG-CT810 My Documents.
3- Go to: Menu > Today and check the box for "Use this picture as the background."
4- Click on ‘Browse’ and wait a sec for ActiveSync to read your saved wallpaper file and add it to the list.
5- Click on your file when it pops up. You will be brought back to the Today screen and your file name should now be next to the Browse button.
6- Click ‘ok’ and you’re done!

Enjoy!

AT&T LG Incite Smartphone reviews

The AT&T LG Incite Smartphone has a very nice sleek design. It’s lightweight and fits very nicely in your pocket or in a case clipped to your side or your purse. It is a fingerprint magnet, so you will need to get a little cleaning cloth to wipe it down every now and then. The buttons on the outside of the phone work very well and the 3.5 mm headphone jack is great. The battery life is very good. I can get online, play games, and do other things on my phone for hours and still have plenty of battery life to last me the whole day and then some. I’ve had my LG Incite Smartphone on for a couple days and still had a lot of battery life left. My old phone I had to charge it everyday, so I love that I can go a couple days without having to worry about charging it. LG Cell Phone Reviews

LG Incite Smartphone Photos – LG Cell Phone Pictures

The touchscreen is overall very responsive. At first it was hard to get it to respond to small icons like checkboxes, but after using it for a while I’ve found where on the screen I need to press in order for it to recognize my actions and it doesn’t bother me. The items in the Windows Start Menu are don’t respond right away sometimes, but when again after playing around with it I’ve found how to press certain things to get them to work right. All the menus and everything else works great including the full screen QWERTY keyboard. LG-Incite info

It does take up almost the whole screen, but you can hide the menu bar at the bottom and it gives you a little more room to see what you’re typing. The phone dialer responds very well too when you’re typing in a phone number and I love how it plays a different little tune for each number you press! (You can also change this or turn it off if it’s something you don’t like.)

The 3 megapixel camera is really good in my opinion and better than I had anticipated. I took a picture indoors that was kind of low light and the camera automatically lightened the picture up! I was also able to go into ‘My Pictures’ and use the Auto Fix feature to lighten the picture up even more! The camcorder works well too.

I really like how you can customize the phone too. It comes with different themes to choose from and there’s a Favorites Menu that you can customize with 9 apps that you use the most. You can choose what shows up on the Today Screen and in what order they show up too. You can even hide the Today Screen all together. You can use MP3s as ringtones, you just have to make sure they’re about 30 seconds long (which is plenty for a ringtone) for the phone to recognize them as ringtones.

The Wifi works great. It picks up networks from a good distance. My cousin has a iPod Touch and we where sitting in the same spot, she couldn’t get it to pick up any networks, but my Incite picked up two different networks. Wifi is a must for me. I work from home, so when I’m out on the go, I need to be able to check my e-mails and this phone does a great job.

I would definitely say the AT&T LG Incite Smartphone is a great phone. It does take a little time to get used to, so I would recommend it to people who are really good with electronics. It’s not that hard to learn how to use it, but people who just like basic phones, might find it overwhelming."

AT&T LG Incite Hack for Ringtones

Today I have a try to change my AT&T LG Incite phone’s maximum ringtone size in the light of the tutorial below which I found on LG Incite Forum and that works perfectly. So I decide to paste the hack to my blog and share it to you folks. LG-Incite info

Download the following freeware cab (registry editor) from your pc or direct download to the AT&T LG Incite phone. http://freewareppc.com/utilities/phmregistryeditor.shtml

With the cab (registry editor) of your choice, go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Control Panel>Sounds
Then change the key "FileSizeLimit" to whatever size you would like, default is around 300k hence the 300kb ringtone limit… The key is in bytes so if for instance you want to change the limit to 600k you would make the key’s data 600,000 (without comma)
600,000 bytes = 600 kilobytes

Otherwise you can just deleted the "filesizelimit" key, it’s more easy. Hope it helps, Enjoy. LG Phone Problem and solution

The AT&T LG Incite phone has a lots bad reviews on AT&T official website (I think that ia because everyone compares it to the iPhone). I got the Incite one month ago, and now I’m so glad I didn’t buy into the bad reviews. LG Cell phone Reviews

I was a proud LG Shine owner until i went to the AT&T to see what’s free and new (bad habit ) and fell into shock when i saw the LG Incite for free. A Touchscreen phone with a 3 megapixel camera, headphone jack, and WIFI!. I knew i had to have and had a free line left so i did. LG-Incite info

Three days pass. Indeed a small package was next to the door. In it was a Data Cable, a stylus,and a battery (also a AT&T LG Incite with a Battery cover yay!). However i was reading this forum before i received the phone and prepared active sync with .net 3.5. I instantly installed it and let the fun begin. SO MANY FEATURES MY HEAD COULD SPIN. I was connecting to WIFI here and there, and everything was wonderful.

AT&T LG Incite Phone Photos – LG Cell Phone Pictures

More time passes. So many different problems begin. complexions with everything. However i would still stick with the incite thick and thin, And then i found out about Ftouchflo and though "Oh boy finger scrolling" but something went wrong and i could not use my touchscreen. So the first hard reset had to made at 3 days.

It all begins to make sense. When i installed Google Maps on my AT&T LG Incite i could not scroll through the maps at all, and the jog wheel could only move up and down, but i had an idea. I went to Gestures and enabled it for Google maps, and finally i had my first taste of what was to come. Then i knew i had to find a way to hook Incite up to my computer using Removable Storage. I found one app but it didn’t cut the mustard. And then i met WMStorage which was wonderful. i installed all of the S2 apps, and Youtube play but something was missing. A nice Today Screen. I found m2d but simply could not get it to work. Until i discovered Throttle Launcher. And it even had a Thouchflo skin. I also installed Throttle Explorer.

So there you have it after all of the work i put in to it i have made the AT&T LG Incite into my Finger Friendly USB Mass Storage capable device, and you know I don’t want any other phone. I love my AT&T LG Incite.

I found this wonderful LG Incite tutorial on lg-incite.com forum, made by GoodNovember, now I copy it to my blog to someone who need it, hope it is useful. Thanks again for GoodNovember. LG-Incite info

LG Incite tutorial - How To Change Your Voicemail to Google Voice’s Voicemail

BE ADVISED:
1) you will no longer be notified that you have a new Voicemail. instead you will be sent a (sometimes multi-page) SMS notification of a transcription {voice to text} of the new Voicemail [this can be turned off] also you will get an email of this same transcription as well as a link to the recording.
2) This tutorial assumes that you have already been accepted into and are fully setup with the Beta program of Google Voice {its free, but there is a waiting list} Sign up now! https://services.google.com/fb/forms/googlevoiceinvite/
3) This is a backward way into using Google Voice, it works perfectly, but it can be a bit daunting to get it setup
4) this will not affect your standard number, people who call you will be automatically connected to your Google Voice account to leave their message just like they did with your old Voicemail
5) if you need help just leave a reply, i will get back to you asap.

WHAT YOU GET:
1) Multiple custom Voicemail greetings (if you prefer) to groups of your contacts, or to a single contact to contact basis.
2) Passcode protected, unlimited, archived, and searchable voicemail messages presented in a Gmail-like fashion that is accessible on the internet and your phone
4) bleeding edge technology you can brag about to your friends

HOW TO DO IT:
Step 1: Get a pencil and paper to write your old voicemail number down (SAVE THIS NUMBER SO YOU CAN GO BACK IF YOU NEED TO!) {i have it saved in my email, just in case}
Step 2: On your incite: Go to Start>Settings>Phone> and chose the [Services] tab
Step 3: Select [Call Forwarding] and tap [Get Settings...] button, the phone will connect to the network now and retrieve the information stored on the network concerning your Voicemail and other Forwarding Information
Step 4: You should now see 4 boxes, the top should be empty, the lower 3 should have a number in them starting with +1. Write down the number that appears in the 3 boxes (the number is the same in all of them) This is your current number of your standard carrier Voicemail, SAVE IT AND DON’T DELETE IT FOR NOW
Step 5: Go to your Computer and log-in to your Google Voice account and go to [Settings] in the upper right corner of the browser window.
Step 6: Make sure the following changes are dealt with:
Enable Screening: Unchecked [it asks unknown callers to state their name] {OPTIONAL}
Enable "Do Not Disturb": Checked [this directly connects the caller to your Voicemail] {IMPORTANT}
Transcribe Voicemail: Checked [Google tries to turn your Voicemail to text.] {OPTIONAL}
Step 7: Click [Save Changes]
Step 8: Enter your Google Voice Number into the lower 3 boxes within the [Call Forwarding] window on your phone including +1 in front of your number
Step 9: Tap OK in the upper right corner of your phone
Step 10: Ask a friend to call you, and try it out!
Step 11: Throw a cookie at me if it works and you like it!

TO CHECK YOUR VOICEMAIL:
A) Call your Google Voice number from your mobile phone, enter your passcode and listen to your messages!
B) Check your Google Voice Account on the web, here you can read and also listen to your messages. you may also delete, archive and search for them and generally manage your messages.
C) your mobile browser: www.google.com/voice/m

TO GET YOUR OLD VOICEMAIL BACK:
if you ever want to change back to the old voicemail, just enter it into the 3 boxes your Google Voice number currently occupies within the Call Forwarding are of your phone.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
if it comes back with an error as you are accessing the Call Forwarding area of your phone, you are not in the network service area, this happened to me, just move about till you get some bars of service and give it another go.

SIDE NOTES:
A) There is currently no official Windows Mobile application that you can use with Google Voice. i modified this tutorial from a Gizmodo article that featured this for an Android phone. once Google releases an app i am sure you will be notified in other ways than the Email and SMS modes.
B) Link to Gizmodo Tutorial, if you are curious: http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/06/29/hack-use-google-voice-to-add-visual-voicemail-to-your-g1-dream/
C) There is a great deal more to Google Voice than this, but i think this is the most useful application i have come across for us win-mo users. LG Phone Problem and solution
