The touch screen on my LG Glimmer has been real off. I’ve tried calibrating it with my finger and with the pen, but no matter how many times, it has the strangest problems. It’s impossible to text and impossible to navigate menus. LG-Glimmer info

Whenever I’m typing a text on my LG Glimmer, I can press anywhere and it will sometimes just hit the end button, the send button, or the back button. Sometimes the back button keeps held down even though I don’t have a single finger on the screen and it just deletes the entire text.

Then, there’s always a problem where when I want to hit one letter and then it’s the letter under it or above it in a text.

So, it’s impossible to navigate menus since everything relies on the touch screen, and that’s the main problem. If I go to contacts, it’s impossible to select a contact. I try to select a contact, and instead the menu just jumps down about seven names. I have no idea why this happens at all.

If I try to go to a menu, the same stuff happens. If I try to navigate the menus it won’t recognize me touching it or will jump down to the bottom, like I said previously. Does anyone else have these problems?

My Friend’s LG Glimmer phone ring starts out low and gradually gets louder. When she hear it, it is already on the next to last ring or the last ring. LG-Glimmer info

I helped her get the latest firmware from alltel and still wouldn’t work, but they tell me it is a safety precaution because if you are listening to music the ringer doesn’t kill your ears which is kinda good but bad too if you understand what i’m talking about.

I also noticed that the second ring, after the soft one is really loud, well at least on my phone it is. Don’t want my eardrums killed on the first ring when I listen to music. Hope this helps anyone…

Then I spoke to alltel about this yesterday and was told LG will be administering a firmware fix for the LG Glimmer on 5-22-08. it will replace the sequenced loudness with a three second pause after the first ring.
