If you’re a Sprint LG G Stylo owner, you’re in for a good time. Sprint announced that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its version of the G Stylo is now rolling out. The build is ZV7 and will bring you to the current version of Android, which includes a bunch of great stuff.

Android 6.0 is going out as an OTA, and you need a Wi-Fi connection to pull it down. If you need a refresher on what new features were added in Marshmallow, don’t worry, we have you covered. As for LG-specific changes, Sprint provided a decent look with its version of the same update.

This update has begun its rollout, but as usual, people might not get it for a few days as it’s rolled out to everyone. So if you’re waiting for the update, it shouldn’t be too much longer. If you do get it, let us know how you like the latest version of Android!

The LG G Stylo is a mid-range phablet with a 5.7-inch, 720×1280 HD display and a built-in stylus for enabling multitasking between screens. It also has a 13MP camera, a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (expandable to 128GB). Its battery is an impressive 3,000mAh cell which should prove to be very long-lasting considering the low resolution of the display and relatively low-powered processor. Software is now updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Following is the official Firmware / ROM for LG G Stylo, you can flash it to return your device back to stock. Do at your own risk.

I have only personally tested my LG G Stylo LGH631 model and confirm root working. I can not vouch for any other device models. Just make sure you have your full firmware package available to recover from a soft brick and read the thread before attempting to flash !!

Caution: Do not use this root method for 5.1.1!! You will get a soft brick and there is no way to recover! If your on 5.0.2 and did not take the update then you can proceed to this root method.

Guide to Root T-Mobile / MetroPCS LG G Stylo:

  1. Advised: Have a full stock firmware package available (just in case of soft brick)
  2. Have LG USB drivers installed on Windows PC [Download]
  3. Download the LG One Click Script Root file above and extract to some folder.
  4. Enable USB debugging on your phone. (Go to Settings > General > About phone > Software information, tap Build number seven times and then go to Settings > Developer options and turn on USB debugging)
  5. Plug your phone into pc. (it will install driver when connected just wait till is done)
  6. Switch to MTP when drivers are full install
  7. Double click on the LG Root Script.bat file (the Script will run)
  8. Follow the instructions.
  9. Enjoy ROOT.

Normally If it doesn’t work for you please checking port that connecting between device and computer or checking LG driver and Re-run script again.

T-Mobile is rolling out an update for a couple of its handsets, namely the LG G Stylo and the LG Leon. Of course, both phones are LG’s latest mid-range smartphones that were added to T-Mobile’s lineup just a couple of months ago.

The update pushes the devices to Android 5.1.1 (Software Version H63110e for LG G Stylo, H34510e for LG Leon), which comes with the typical miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements. Exactly what improving the display entails isn’t mentioned.

Actually, the updates will be available for download over WiFi beginning July 10 and July 11 that weighs in at 483MB (G Stylo) or 317MB (Leon).
