LG enV Touch Firmware V09 Available!

Good news for LG enV Touch users that the latest Firmware V09 is available now, you can update via LG update tool. However, you’ll have to update to v08 first, then you can update to v09 normally. Search this forum on how to update to v08 by flashing it using the lgnpst and v08 dll and bin. Then update to v09 with the update tool, below is the download link: LG-enV touch info

Last night I updated my LG enV Touch from V08 to V09 without any problem. Just thought I’d share my success, and am willing to try to help other with any problems they’re experiencing trying to update to V09. As for the new features of V09, so far I haven’t found any, but I’ll keep looking. LG Cell Phone Software

LG enV Touch Firmware V08 Update!

Today I got my LG enV Touch updated to V08 at the verizon store. I have to say I’m quite liking the new browser, it is definitely much quicker then the old one. Everything used to take forever to load on the old browser and would often get frustrating. It is also nice that i don’t have to manually zoom in just too see the login screen on twitter and facebook.

Below is the regular instruction on how to upgrade the LG enV Touch from V07 to V08 that I pasted from envtouch forum, Hope it helps you!

download lgnpst 1.2 (if you haven’t already: LGNPST v1.2 Store w/ Generic Models & Components)
then on envtouch site look for a forum called ‘vk11V08k.bin’ or somethin (should be on 2nd page)… See More
dl the file in the first post
make sure u hav lgmodem driver installed
once uve installed lgnpst
go to computer-lg electronics-lgnpst
create a folder in there called ‘model’
then inside model make a folder ‘LGVX-11000′
then once uve dled that rapidshare file
extract it
and drag the .dll file into the lgvx-11000 folder u just created
and then drag the whole ‘VRZ’ folder into the lgvx-11000 folder
then open up lgnpst and make sure it detects ur fone
set ur fone in airplane mode and then on computer once lgnpst has detected ur fone
go to start – cmd.exe (right click on it and select run as admin)
then type in regsvr32 "C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\model\LGVX-11000\VX11K.dll"
u shud get a success box
then in lgnpst
go file-> Select Dll
the dll shud now appear on the list
and then select it
hit the upgrade option and browse folder icon in the bin area and select the bin file from the vrz folder
then once u hav that press start upgrading
shud take lik 5-10 min
once ur done with that
go here:

dl the file from the megaupload link
then open up bitpim (if u dont have it just google it and install)
then detect ur fone with it
open up the filesystem
go to brew/mod
delete the two folders there called polaris7 and obigo
then right click on mod
and select restore
then browse to the polaris7.zip u dled from that megaupload link and w8 for it to finish
then once uve done that ur done!
enjoy the new browser!
(yea i kno iz prty tedious)
but hella worth it.

How to use LG enV Touch as a modem? Here is an instruction that enables you to tether with your Phone as Modem… Make sure your LG enV Touch has been updated to the latest version v07 firmware. LG Phone Problem and Solution

NOTE: this is against Verizon’s TOS. Unless you have the Vcast Vpack or the BBA plan, data is billed at $1.99 per MB!! LG-enV touch info

Access the service menu – dial ##PROGRAM11000 and then press Send. Then enter 000000.
then go Data -> MIP Setting – > NAI Setting -> MIP DUN NAI
and change it to phonenumber@vzw3g.com (just get rid of the "dun.")

To use the EVDO DUN service, add an new dialup connect with the following credentials:

Phone Number: #777
Username: MobileNumber@vzw3g.com (ex: 1234567890@vzw3g.com)
Password: verizon

Be sure to select your phone as the default modem for this connection. You will need the LG Modem Drivers for you LG enV Touch then your good to go.

How to Remove Brower on LG enV Touch

If you have a LG enV Touch, you are undoubtedly familiar with its brower. This is the method to help you remove brower on LG enV Touch, so you will not go online with the brower and not get charged. LG Phone Problem and Solution

You can remove the browser from the LG enV Touch via bitpim and the files would be completely gone from the phone. If you want to get it back, you would have to use bitpim again to reload your backup file. I would not recommend it, try at your own risk!!

Or you can go to your local Verizon store to ask the rep to have your browser removed. In fact they were able to block the following for free. LG-enV touch info

For who hasn’t upgraded their LG enV Touch to the latest firmware v07. LG-enV touch info

Update your LG enV Touch to V07 using LG mobile updater Steps:

1) If necessary, download then install the latest LG USB driver. Just do a forum search to get the link.
2) Download then install the LGMobile Support software. Again, search the forum for the link.
3) Turn off phone.
4) Remove microSD
5) Connect phone to computer using the USB cable. Windows should detect the phone as new hardware. The phone should enter charging state.
6) Launch LGMobile Support.
7) Click on Start Updating then follow the prompts.

Hi everybody, Here’s the LG enV Touch full flash to Cricket that I found on mobile-files.com, posted by krjavi. Use it with LG Download 1.6 (www.lg-phones.org/lg-download-program-v1-6.html). Use cdmaworkshop to write usernames and passwords and change to simple ip, then use bitpim to load these files….. you figure out where to put them. LG-enV touch info

Today I made a phone call to my local Verizon store to confirm if the new LG enV Touch firmware V07 is available. The answer is “yes”. So I upgraded my LG enV Touch to vx11kv07 by myself via the LG phone software updater without any problem. The new version is pretty fast after v05, I think. LG Cell Phone Software

Update your LG enV Touch to V07 using LG mobile updater Steps:

It totally spent me about 20 minutes. The downloaded firmware file was about 96MB in size. Go to Customer Support–>Supporting Model to see the phones that can be flashed using the updater. There is a menu that enables download of the latest driver and documentation.

I just noticed on Verizon forum that a new version of Mobile E-Mail has been released. It seems to take advantage of the high-res screen more and now includes Gmail support! I have updated my LG enV Touch to the new version 3.1.3.1 and performs much better than the old version. LG Cell Phone Software

I don’t remember the old version allowing you to download email attachments. With this one you can download pictures and view them on your LG enV Touch, offline. You can also attach files from the microSD card. Pretty nice. LG-enV touch info

1. Go To Media Center
2. Select Browse & Download
3. Highlight Mobile E-Mail and select options and then "Upgrade Check"

Verizon LG enV Touch VX11000 Firmware V05 Download

Now there is a new firmware VX11KV05 is available for the Verizon LG enV Touch VX11000, you may go to the local Verizon Store to have your phone updated and in my experience this is free all the time. Or you may update your phone by yourself via LG mobile updater, however, I’ve noticed a lots people having the same trouble updating via LG software updater. So I spent much time searching the firmware VX11KV05 and now I did it. I thought I’ll share this if some is searching. LG Cell Phone Software

If you have issues connecting to cdma workshop, or lgnpst, or bitpim or any other program, I am so glad to tell you that you come to the right site. I found the easiest way for you to do this. LG Phone Problem and Solution

Copy pasted from mobile-files.com.

1. Dial ##LGSERVICEMENU [SEND]
Choose Data –> Port Map –> Diag –> Make sure it’s "USB" (mine was at "NULL" or none), Exit out of this service menu

2. Go to Settings –> Phone Settings –> Security –> Reset Defaults
Phone will ask you to confirm the reset, choose yes, and it
will reset the phone to factory defaults.
Now, the phone will be detected normally, and you can continue like usual.

PS. I’m not sure if both steps are required, but that is what fixed this problem for me. I didn’t plug it back into the computer until I had done both, so I don’t know which step fixed it. It may be #2 fixes #1 (puts diag back to USB, which is the default, instead of NULL). Or maybe #2 resets other stuff too, I dunno, but I was happy it worked!
