I have posted this before on LG Dare forum. But it works for every phone so don’t tell me that you know. How to do it or anything because some people don’t know how.
What this does, is make it so you don’t have to put in your voice mail password every time you check your VM. LG-Dare info
Just follow these steps
Inbox>Options>Settings>Voicemail #
Once your there change the number to
*86PP#YOUR PW HERE#
the two P’s are pauses to put those in. while in the Voicemail # menu
Hit
Options>2-Sec Pause, Options>2-Sec Pause

If you want to zoom in your LG Dare’s camera you have to take down the picture resolution, it must to be anything below 2048×1536 pixel, you can take it down by going into the cameras menu in the bottom left hand corner and choosing the first little square that appears at the bottom, then the volume up and down buttons can be used to zoom while using the LG Dare’s camera. Telus allowing downloading of apps for LG Dare? Just heard this at a LG Dare forum, and I’ve confirmed it by downloading mgmaps, opera mini, google maps into my LG Dare.
MGMaps works for me (though it’s hobbled by graphics problems).
Go to http://wap.mgmaps.com/ on your phone browser.
Click on Download MGMaps version 1.3x (stable): LG version v1.39.21 [unsigned jad]
The unsigned jad file works.
You can try the development 1.4 version if you are brave.
Opera Mini I downloaded from m.operamini.com. LG-Dare info
Google Maps is downloadable via http://m.getjar.com, but touchscreen doesn’t seem to work. Go to http://m.getjar.com on your phone – click on Platform= Java (J2ME) – on the top search bar, type in "google maps" – click on google maps (first link) and download.
Looks great, but doesn’t work with touchscreen, so ultimately useless.
