I have just posted an article about the new Google maps touch version, it works perfectly on my LG Arena. So I guess it works on LG Cookie as well (have not tested), I found it on LG Vu forum, so i decided to share it here for someone who is searching.  LG Cell phone Software

I just found an instructions about how to flash the LG cookie with .kdz frimwares on LG Cookie forum. This was tested and work great on a Windows XP PC with an active internet connection. LG Cell phone Software

Tools you’ll have to download:

  2. B2CAppSetup.exe     http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/client/app/B2CAppSetup.exe
  3. Firmware: the lastest cookie firmware is V10V00.kz http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/KP500/ABALVB/V10v_00/V10V_00.kdz
  4. LG modem driver.
  5. LG PC Suite
  6. Remove memory card from your phone.

Here’s a opera mini for globe users here in the philippines.. and this is already modded .. meaning you can have free browsing with this..   again this is only for GLOBE users in the Philippines..   LG-Cookie info
Do not forget!! this only requires Globe inet..

LG Cookie KP500 tips – Browsing for free steps:

1. if your globe sim card is not yet activated for inet, then configure it manually.. go to connectivity then go to access points, make a new one and name it Globe inet..then on the APN put this "http.globe.com.ph" without the "

2. then after that, go to internet profiles, make a new profile and name it globe inet.. name it Globe inet. then choose to use a proxy.. then enter this proxy address "203.177.91.131".. and then it the proxy server port, put "80".. then on the access point choose Globe inet..
