The LG Optimus G Pro E940 that we got a first look at last month in South Korea is finally ready to make its debut on store shelves in the US. Though it did not reveal details about price, the LG Optimus G Pro is expected to be available for purchase on AT&T (one of the country’s three largest carriers) on May 10 with the same 5.5-inch display that the Korean variant goes for, not like the 5-inch Japanese version.
The AT&T’s LG Optimus G Pro E940 has identical hardware specifications as the Korean version, including a 5.5-inch HD 1080p display, quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, a 13MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM, LTE connectivity, NFC, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD slot and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. For a full description of the specs of the LG Optimus G Pro, check out our old post of the Korean one.
Hopefully that other US carriers will jump on board and offer this impressive quad-core smartphone. For those unaware, the LG Optimus G pro is the successor to the original Optimus G. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear something new on this. Stay tuned.

A phone having the name LG Optimus G2 (codename D801) has been caught in the GLBenchmark GPU benchmarking site. Where its performance was miles ahead of current powerful devices. We have reason to believe that the LG Optimus G2 must be the Optimus G Pro that was unveiled last month.
As the newest high-end model (and the highest one, at that) in LG’s smartphone range, the LG Optimus G2 will provide the Qualcomm’s latest MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 processor alongside with Adreno 330 GPU), a large Full HD touchscreen display with the resolution of 1794 x 1080 (which is 1080p with virtual buttons) and the newest Android 4.2.2 OS.
There is no more information of the device nor details about a release date or pricing, but we expect those to come pretty soon, so stay tuned.
