The LG Venice LG730 is a mid-range smartphone that has been available at Boost Mobile since October 2012. Even though the device is not quite among the popular ones, there is good news for its owners as the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean ZV8 update is now available for the device.

The software upgrade will bring a lot of bug fixes and enhancements developed by Boost Mobile to the LG Venice, as well as the standard Android Jelly Bean features like Google Now integration, Project Butter, enhanced notification system, and others.

It’s an OTA update, you can check for it by heading to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Check For Updates.

How to "force" an OTA update on LG Venice LG730:

  1. Charged the LG Venice to 100%
  2. Verified that there has more than 400 MB of open internal memory (moving all of my music to the SD card gave me 1.7 GB of open memory).
  3. Connected to a fast wi-fi router.
  4. Clicked "Settings".
  5. Clicked "Apps"
  6. Clicked "All"
  7. Clicked "Google Services Framework"
  8. Clicked "Force Stop"
  9. Clicked "Settings"
  10. Clicked "System Updates"
  11. Clicked "Update Firmware"
  12. Clicked "Update LG Software"

The 362 mb download began and continued for about 15 minutes.

One more thing, you will lose root access and as of now there is no way of rooting LG730ZV8. Good luck
