The Glimmer’s touch screen is indeed the star of the show. Measuring around 2.8 inches diagonally, the display supports 262,000 colors with graphics and icons that simply pop from the screen.

The Glimmer support MP3, WMA, AAC, and AAC+ formats. You can sort your music with playlists, as well as the typical album, artist, and genre categories. There’s also a repeat and shuffle mode. The Glimmer comes with 128MB of internal memory, which is alright for a short list of songs, but you should consider getting a microSD card for additional storage. The Glimmer supports microSD cards of up to 4GB.

The good: The LG Glimmer is a stylish phone with a really smart concept, combining a touch-screen display plus a slider keypad. It has excellent features, including GPS navigation, EV-DO support, and a 2-megapixel camera.

The bad: The LG Glimmer offers a lackluster Web-browsing experience, and we thought the EV-DO connection could’ve been a lot smoother.

Now four colors of the LG Rumor to become available at Sprint: white, black, green and blue.

The Rumor is an attractive handset with a hidden slide-out QWERTY keyboard plus a few advanced features like a megapixel camera, Sprint Navigation support, and a music player. We liked how easy it was to use, especially when sending text messages and e-mails. You can even access social networking sites like Facebook in just a couple of clicks. We wished the Rumor had EV-DO for faster Web surfing, as well as a better screen resolution, but the Rumor is still a great phone, especially if you’re a messaging addict. The LG Rumor retails for $279.99, but you can get it for $79 with a two-year contract and a $50 rebate.
